Utility credits through the Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program have been delayed as the state and Hawaiian Electric work to have the credits applied to the bills, Maui Economic Opportunity said Wednesday. The nonprofit, whose only role in the program was to sign up applicants last June, said it has been deluged with phone calls from people asking when the credits will be applied and the cause of the delay.

June 3, 2014 — -- A sixth baby has died while using a recalled “Nap Nanny” infant recliner, with safety experts again urging parents to stop using the product. According to the Consumer Product Safety Commission, or CPSC, the latest tragedy involved an 8-month-old girl from New Jersey. The baby suffocated while secured by a belt, trapped between the product and a crib bumper. CPSC officials said the infant was found stuck over the side of a Nap Nanny.
