Crash Closes Route 61 in Berks County Friday Morning
As of 9:30am, Friday morning, Route 61, south of Shoemakersville, near the Glen Gery Brick Plant was closed due a crash.Both directions of the highway have been closed while the crash is cleaned up and investigated.
UPDATE: As of 11:30am, the road is still closed in both directions. We've also learned the crash was fatal involving a motorcycle.
UPDATE: The highway reopened around 1:30pm.
