There's a reputation system called Renown in Diablo 4. This system is essential in increasing your character's power, offering valuable rewards such as skill points, Paragon Points, and even Potion charges.

This guide focuses on everything you need to know about Renown in Diablo 4, from the great rewards players can get (both account-wide and on your character) to how you can earn more Renown for each region in Diablo 4.

Update on 17 July 2023: We've updated this article with the latest info on how Renown works and how you can earn it in Diablo 4's massive zones.

How To Get/Earn More Renown in Diablo 4

Players can earn more Renown in each main region of Sanctuary. In fact, each of the five (5) Diablo 4 regions have its own Renown that players need to get more of. We see it as a reputation system for each region.

There are a total of five massive regions to explore in Diablo 4, namely:

  • Fractured Peaks
  • Scosglen
  • Dry Steppes
  • Kehjistan
  • Hawezar

To get more Renown in one of Diablo 4's regions/zones, players can perform certain actions, some of which provide a lot more Renown than others. Check them out below, including how much Renown you will earn.

Now that you know how to get more Renown in each region of Diablo 4's huge open world, let's get to the shiny rewards.

Diablo 4 Renown Rewards Explained

First up, there are two types of Renown rewards in Diablo 4. There are account-wide character bonuses, which make leveling up alts much faster and rewards specific to the character you are playing.

To earn Renown rewards in Diablo 4, you will need to move past certain stages (points thresholds) in each region.  Below, you can find the Renown rewards for Fractured Peaks:

Renown LevelTotal RenownCharacter You Are PlayingAccount-wide Rewards
200 Renown200 Renown+ Bonus XP
+ 3,000 Gold
+ 1 Skill Point
300 Renown500 Renown+ Bonus XP

+ 60,000 Gold

500 Renown1800 Renown+ Bonus XP
+ 150,000 Gold
+ 4 Paragon Points

Yes, some Bonus XP and a lot of Gold are nice to have, but the real rewards for the Diablo 4 Renown system are definitely the account-wide boosts to all your characters. It is important to note that while new characters created get the account-wide Renown rewards, they all start with 0 points in each Region and can significantly benefit from the XP and Gold, which means Renown is essential to get more of even for alts.

While you wait for Diablo 4's Open Beta weekends to begin or the game to fully release on 6 June 2023, you can check out the latest dev livestream update video below to learn more about the world of Sanctuary.
