Seventeen alleged members of three violent street gangs known collectively as YPF are charged in two indictments with conspiracy to commit murder, possession of weapons, and other related offenses.
Brooklyn District Attorney Eric Gonzalez and NYPD Commissioner Keechant Sewell announced on Tuesday.
The 118-count indictments, according to officials, include charges related to shootings that resulted in 14 victims, four of whom died as a result of their injuries.

According to Brooklyn DA Eric Gonzalez, they called themselves YPF and hoped that they would gain greater geographic dominance and access to firearms by banding together.
